Target Audience - part 2 - What would my typical audience wear?

Target Audience

When creating my music magazine I had to consider my target audience. This is an example of someone who might read my Hip-Hop magazine called 'Renegade'.
Niah is 17 years old and listens to hip-hop music. Renegade music magazine would be appropriate for Niah because it would include the latest songs and information on her favourite artists such as Beyonce and Kanye West. I think that the clothing that Niah is wearing is influenced by her music preference for example the theme of black and the leather pants. Niah has been to see Beyonce in concert which supports the idea that she would be a typical reader of Renegade as Beyonce is one of the artists that would be featured in my music magazine.

Artists - Who I would like to feature in my magazine

- Beyonce Knowles
- Mariah Carey
- Usher
- Chris Brown

- Mary J Blige
- Alicia Keys
- Rihanna
- R. Kelly
- John Legend
- Trey Songz
- Nicki Minaj
- Stevie Wonder
- Pharrel Williams
- Babyface
- Brandy
- Jeremih
- Kanye West
- Justin Timberlake
- Jason Derulo
- Robin Thicke
- The Weeknd
- Iggy Azalea
- Ne-yo
- Tinashe
- Miguel

Here is a list of artists that I would like to feature in my music magazine, I chose these people in particular because of the diverse range of music that they tend to produce, as well as the fact that they are from various backgrounds and ages as people. Some of the currently popular artists include: The Weeknd, Kanye West, Chris Brown and Rihanna. Hip hop and R&B music is continuously on the charts and new music in this genre is being produced consistently which I think is a good thing, because this decreases the chances of audiences and fans from become bored of music. However song and artist popularity can change very rapidly so it is difficult to say which artists will still be popular even by the time I have finished making my magazine.
